Spring Holidays

Last night I went to a lovely and delicious
Passover seder, it was festive and touching and
I learned a lot. The traditions and stories were
enlightening and inspiring.

Now its time to turn to Easter and what we
will do next weekend for that holiday.
My family is hosting a brunch that will
include a waffle bar, asparagus, assorted baked
goods, quiche, and of course mimosas.

Here are some recipes that would be great
for various Easter meals.

Mini Brownie Cupcakes

I recently made these cupcakes for my niece and nephew's birthday party and they were delicious! It's hard to find a really good cupcake recipe, but this one is great. I found it on Epicurious.

I added vanilla buttercream frosting with sprinkles. For Christmas I am
going to add peppermint extract to the frosting to make a nice
chocolate and mint combination, which is one of my favorites!

Harvest Party

My cousin Savannah hosted a delightful Harvest party for
our two families last weekend. She held it at her
parent's house, in their barn. They took
part of the barn and remodeled it into a bar
and entertaining area. It is such a cool space, and
the perfect place for an autumn party.

This roast chicken was absolutely delicious. The recipe is from
Ina Garten's cookbook Barefoot in Paris or can be found here.
